In the year 2000, our founding company partner, a successful sales executive in Brazil with family in the granite quarry and export industry, saw an opportunity to leverage his Brazilian connections in the United States. He relocated to California in 2001 and founded Brazil Natural Stone. In 2003, a family friend and Northern California native, was invited to purchase 50% of BNS. His involvement has moved BNS into a 30,000 sq. ft. facility in Stockton, a location ideally suited to provide overnight delivery to the ever increasing customer base in California, western Arizona and Nevada.

In late 2007 and early 2008, our third phase of growth and change began.  With the decline of the production new home market, we created our Digitalstone™ program to target and ease the selection process for the end-user, kitchen and bath remodelers, an area of increasing demand and higher profit margins. Because of our technology and flexibility to the shift in target markets, we remained profitable through the economic downturn of 2008, while many in our industry are no longer in business.
